The following are rough storyboard sheets I produced to help me produce my animation. I find it really helpful to do these as it makes it so much clearer to produce the animation having something to refer back to. That way you're not having to produce it from your minds eye!
I really like the illustrations in this animation. It's the kind of illustration that I'm inspired by at the moment and a style of working that I am trying to achieve myself. I think the animation runs smoothly and works well with feel good ending to it.
Ha this cat one made me laugh.
This guy is great!! Everything about the simplicity of his illustrations inspires me. It just goes to show you don't have to over complicate your work to try and say what you want or need to say. The added bonus of humour just puts the cherry on top!
HA! my dog used to do that to me on a morning! With the exception of taking a baseball bat to me... obviously....
That made me laugh. Anyway, here are some more adverts from channel 4 which I find inspirational and other general finds on YouTube..
This one is definately my favourite so far. i think I may have even posted it up before on here. oh well won't hurt to again. Love it. Illustration. Way it flows. Great audio. Works well.
This is how my video has begun so far for the e4 ident I'm currently working to produce. It's a slow and painstaking process for me as i don't think After Effects and i get on too well. None the less i shall keep posting up how my video is looking each time it progresses. Enjoy :)
I am currently working to produce my own website using iweb and have been looking at other websites for inspiration. I have come across many creative and engaging ones so far and have found that they don't have to be complex at all in order to be effective or work. I have mainly been looking at how websites put together links to different pages from their home page and what headings they use for each tab. Some contain just one option to click and others break down into 4 or 5 alternate pages leading from just the one link.
Here is a collection of screen grabs I took of sites that i felt worked well..
I've set up this blog in partnership with my other one (www.olivia-greaves.blogspot.com) to keep an ongoing online critical journal and investigation of design for digital media which I am now studying in my 2nd year of BA Graphic Design. Here I will post anything relevant to my understanding of what design for digital media is and any work that I am starting to produce which I will try to evaluate as I go along.
